Newfoundland's first Little Caesars opens in St. John's
Cotard

The province's first Little Caesars franchise has opened on White Rose Drive in east St. John's.

Franchisees Melissa and Jeff Horner were extremely busy on their opening day at the end of May, as they met a huge demand only minutes after a small opening ceremony. Little Caesars is recognized as the world's largest carry-out pizza chain, and this St. John's franchise is the company's first venture into the province of Newfoundland.

Melissa and Jeff Horner are native from Manitoba, and moved to St. John's nearly a decade ago. Jeff was surprised to find that the popular chain was missing from the local pizza landscape. Jeff Horner, who's making his first foray into the food service industry, explained to local newspaper The Telegram: “It stuck in the back of my head and as time went it came to a point where I thought ‘I’ve gotta jump and run with this and now is the time.”

The St. John's Little Caesars is open seven days a week from 11 am to 10 pm, and staff approximately 30 people.
