Franchise Expo Paris 2025: The Unmissable Franchise Event Makes Its Grand Return
Buck or Two Plus

Franchise Expo Paris, the largest international franchise exhibition, will return from March 15 to 17, 2025, at Paris Porte de Versailles. During the press conference held today, an OpinionWay study commissioned by the French Franchise Federation revealed that nearly one in two French employees is considering a career change. In a context where careers are becoming less linear, many employees aspire to start anew, and among the solutions, the franchise model is increasingly being considered. Offering both autonomy and security, it ranked second in the survey, ahead of social entrepreneurship, business takeovers, or startup creation. Franchise Expo Paris positions itself as the essential event where future entrepreneurs can find answers in their quest for change.

Franchise Expo Paris 2025, a catalyst event for career changers

Despite a mixed year for business creation due to an uncertain economic and political context, the desire for career changes among the French remains strong. According to the OpinionWay study for the French Franchise Federation, 37% of employees have already considered or begun a career change to become their own boss, and many see franchising as an opportunity to realize their entrepreneurial project. This trend can be explained by the strength of the franchise model, which offers a reassuring framework, particularly through structured support and proven know-how.

More than just a professional choice, franchising allows one to integrate into a solid business model while maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit," said Véronique Discours-Buhot, General Delegate of the FFF.

Franchise Expo Paris positions itself as the premier international showcase for business creation, with over 30,000 visitors expected, including more than 1,700 international visitors from 75 countries. The exhibition's mission is to support all project leaders, regardless of their profile, to help them realize their desire to create or grow their business. Through exchanges with franchisors, visitors will gain a better understanding of the challenges and advantages of the model, while discovering inspiring success stories. Conferences, workshops, and meetings with experts will also be organized to guide them at each stage of their journey.

"I am pleased to announce this new edition of Franchise Expo Paris, which promises to be particularly exciting. As every year, we have set up a variety of tools and events to offer a rewarding experience for our visitors and exhibitors. I hope these initiatives will lead to even more success stories, create decisive encounters, and promote the realization of many projects," commented Sylvie Gaudy, the exhibition director.

For this new edition, the franchise event will feature more than 600 exhibitors from 90 different sectors, spread across 10 sectoral zones.

Franchise Expo Paris, a unique meeting and exchange place for all franchise stakeholders

In addition to the Agora, the main conference space, two workshop and seminar zones, five pitch areas, and the Franchise Expo Live stage for live broadcasts on entrepreneurship and franchising, the exhibition will introduce a new space this year: Meet & Speak. Designed as a true meeting forum, this space will allow candidates to meet one-on-one with franchisees to learn more about their journey and the operation of the brand they have chosen.

Another new feature this year is the Territorial Attractiveness Village, featuring 10 cities and territories as exhibitors. This space aims to facilitate exchanges between visitors looking to establish themselves in urban centers and territories seeking new business opportunities to revitalize city centers.

Key highlights of the event include the award ceremonies: The Franchise Revelations® will recognize young, innovative, and promising networks, while the Franchise Ribbons will reward those working to develop and promote the franchise model. The Master Franchise Summit will bring together master franchisees and investors looking for new opportunities in France or internationally, and the Multi-Unit Forum will give brands the chance to present their concepts to franchisees in search of new projects.

Franchise Expo Paris 2025, a true accelerator for entrepreneurs' projects For many visitors, attending the exhibition is a decisive step in building their project. Proof of this is that 56% of visitors at the last edition were seeking a career change, whether they were job seekers or employees.

Raphaël Villet, future Del Arte franchisee

After working his way up as an employee in the retail sector, Raphaël Villet decided to venture into entrepreneurship and chose franchising as a way to start. In his circle, several people tried entrepreneurship without relying on a brand and faced significant challenges. Realizing this, he became convinced that the franchise model was the best way to become an entrepreneur. He reached out to several brands and attended the Franchise Expo Paris in March 2024, where he met the Del Arte brand. After several discussions with the network head, he signed his franchise contract and took over a store in Chalon-sur-Saône, which he will officially manage starting in early 2025.

Sosthène Brou, future Casino Proximité franchisee

After a career as a teacher in Côte d'Ivoire, Sosthène Brou decided to change his career path upon arriving in France in 2007. He became a fire safety officer. He discovered franchising while watching a TV report and was intrigued by the entrepreneurial model. He decided to take the plunge and attended the Franchise Expo Paris in 2023. However, feeling unprepared, he chose to take some time to refine his project. He returned to the exhibition in 2024, where he was drawn to the Casino brand. Based in the Paris region, he decided to make a complete life and regional change to pursue his project. He plans to open a Casino Proximité store near Bordeaux with his wife in the first quarter of 2025.

About the French Franchise Federation

As a major player in the dynamism of the French economy, the French Franchise Federation has represented franchisors and their franchisees since 1971. It promotes and defends the franchise model, an entrepreneurial model based on the transfer of know-how and the sharing of value. Its role is to promote, defend, and sustain the franchise model, as well as to unite its ecosystem and create the tools and environment conducive to the development and performance of franchise networks. In 1981, the Federation created the Franchise Expo Paris exhibition, which has since become a major annual international event for franchising. In France, franchising represents 2,035 networks, 92,132 franchised points of sale, generating more than €88.49 billion in revenue. The sector generates 951,620 jobs (direct and indirect). In 2009, the FFF launched the Franchise Academy, the first training organization for franchise professions, dedicated to future franchisees and both current and future franchisors.
